The Hamilton College Continentals travel to Middlebury College to take on the Panthers in a 2014 NESCAC Men's Basketball Championship quarterfinal at Pepin Gym on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m.

Hamilton (14-10, 5-5 NESCAC) tied for fifth place in the conference standings and is the No. 6 seed for the championship. The Continentals have won five of their last six games, including a 76-74 thriller against Middlebury at home on Feb. 2, as they enter the postseason. Hamilton is making its second appearance in the NESCAC championship in the Continentals' third season in the conference for basketball.

Matt Hart '16 leads Hamilton and the NESCAC in scoring with 21.0 points per game. Hart is ranked fourth in the conference with 62 3-point field goals made this season. Bradley Gifford '15 is also fourth with 8.3 rebounds per game.

The Panthers (16-8, 6-4) tied for third place in the conference standings and picked up the No. 3 seed for the NESCAC championship. Middlebury played in this event's championship game every year from 2009 through 2012 and won two conference titles. The Panthers are 10-3 in their last 13 games with one loss by two points and another by three points. Middlebury advanced to the NCAA Division III championship semifinals in 2011.
