Pat Sullivan '12 poured in a career-high 26 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Hamilton College to a 74-61 win against SUNY Institute of Technology in a non-league men's basketball game at Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Nov. 29.

Sullivan was 11 of 14 from the field and went 4-for-6 at the free-throw line. Ephraim McDowell '12 drained six 3-pointers and finished with 20 points. Ken Click '13 scored eight points, Greg Newton '14 handed out a season-high six assists and Eric Benvenuti '13 collected seven boards. The Continentals were credited with 20 assists on 29 made field goals.

David Golembiowski '11 posted a double-double for SUNYIT with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Golembiowski averaged 27.5 points in the team's first two games this season. Calvin Logins '11 chipped in 16 points and Kevin Cappiello '11 added 14. Julian Bostick '12 dished out a game-high seven assists. The Wildcats were 9 of 30 from 3-point range, and shot 38.3 percent from the field overall. SUNYIT made just 6 of 14 shots at the line.

Hamilton (3-1 overall) jumped out to an 11-4 lead and owned a 10-point advantage at 25-15 with 6:30 left in the half. The Continentals settled for a 36-31 lead at the break.

The Wildcats (0-3) opened the second half with a 12-6 run, and a Golembiowski jumper gave SUNYIT its second and final lead of the night at 43-42. Hamilton responded with a 10-2 spurt keyed by McDowell. His 3-pointer put the Continentals in the lead for good at 45-43, and he scored eight of the 10 points during the run.

Hamilton's lead was still just six at 56-50 with 8:00 left, but three baskets by Sullivan and another 3 by McDowell gave the Continentals a comfortable 65-50 cushion, and Hamilton cruised for the final four minutes. The Continentals lead the all-time series 25-2.

Hamilton hosts 3-0 Utica College for another non-league game on Wednesday, Dec. 1. The Wildcats travel to Union College on Wednesday as well.
