MathSciNet and Philosophia Mathematica recently featured reviews of Assistant Professor of Philosophy Russell Marcus’ book Autonomy Platonism and the Indispensability Argument (Rowman & Littlefield, 2015).
In Philosophia Mathematica, reviewer Alan Baker of Swarthmore College said Marcus’ book “will be of interest both to those with a stake in the indispensability debates and to those looking to make progress developing more traditional defenses of Platonism,” noting that it “fills an important gap in the philosophy of mathematics literature.”
MathSciNet is a publication of the American Mathematical Society. Philosophia Mathematica, a top journal on the philosophy of mathematics, is published by Oxford University Press.
