Hamilton College's Kenny Collins '17 (Weston, Conn./Fairfield College Prep) has been selected to play in the 2015 New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) All-Star Game at Damaschke Field in Oneonta on Thursday, July 16.

All-Star Game details | West Division Roster

Collins is one of seven outfielders on the Western Division roster. Seven teams, including Collins' Wellsville Nitros, play in the NYCBL's Western Division. Collins is hitting .306 and leads the Nitros with 38 hits, 16 runs, six doubles, 13 stolen bases and 19 walks in 35 games.

The first pitch for the all-star game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and the contest wraps up a busy day that includes the annual All-Star Luncheon, Major League Baseball scout day and a home run derby. The rosters were chosen by the league's all-star selection committee which consists of coaching staff from each of the league's franchises. The teams sent nominations to the league office and the selection committee decided on the top 58 players through voting.

Collins started in right field for Hamilton in 2015. He was ranked fourth in the NESCAC with 16 stolen bases and tied for fifth with three triples. Collins, who started 27 games and played in 29, posted a .314 batting average with 32 hits and 21 runs. He helped the Continentals tie a program record for wins in a season this spring and helped lead the team to their first winning season in 25 years.
