The Old Print Gallery in Washington, D.C. will present a solo exhibition by Jake Muirhead '86 beginning Nov. 11 with an opening reception from 5-8 p.m. New Prints by Jake Muirhead will feature over twenty etchings, aquatints, and drypoints, exploring landscapes and the human figure. The show runs to Jan. 23, 2012.
Muirhead majored in art at Hamilton and earned his master's degree in printmaking from George Mason University. He is currently associate printmaker at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Silver Spring, MD and teaches drawing at Montgomery College. His work has been featured in numerous national and international printmaking exhibitions. Jake lives in Takoma Park, MD with his wife Ginna and their ten your old son Andrew.
