Former Hamilton College men's lacrosse player Bryan Hopper '14 (Ridgewood, N.J.) will play for the Israel men's national team at the 2015 Federation of International Lacrosse World Indoor Championship in September.

The championship is hosted by the Onondaga Nation and games will be played at Onondaga Arena and the Village Pavilion, as well as the Oncenter War Memorial Arena and the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. The first games are on Friday, Sept. 18, and the event concludes with the bronze and gold medal contests at the Carrier Dome on Sunday, Sept. 27.

Hopper and the Israeli team are competing in this quadrennial event for the first time. A total of 13 teams are in the international tournament and Israel is in a four-team pool with Serbia, Germany and seventh-ranked Ireland. The top two teams in the pool advance to the playoffs. Israel opens with Serbia on Sept. 18 at 9:30 a.m. at Onondaga Arena, takes on Germany the next night at 7:30 at Village Pavilion and wraps up pool play against Ireland on Sept. 20 at 12:30 p.m. at Village Pavilion.

Four games will be televised on Universal Sports Network, including live coverage of the gold medal game on Sept. 27 at 4 p.m.

Hopper was a two-time member of the NESCAC all-conference team, including the first team in 2014, at Hamilton. The midfielder scored 54 goals and added 19 assists and 73 ground balls in 41 games for the Continentals. Hopper was a team captain in 2013 and 2014.
