Students in the Hamilton College Academic Year in Spain program visit El Mirador de San Nicolás, Granada.

Students in the Hamilton College Academic Year in Spain program (HCAYS) began their spring semester with an orientation trip to Andalusía. They learned about history and shared cultural and culinary experiences during visits to Granada, Sevilla and other cities and towns.

While in Sevilla, the students enjoyed a flamenco show and stayed in a hotel made up of a small series of homes on cobblestone streets in the medieval Jewish neighborhood.

Students in HCAYS for the spring semester are juniors Margaret Alexander, Courtney  Anderson, Lindsay Armor, Talia Bloom, Sally Bourdon, Jonathan DeCarlo, Ashlie Flood, Jacob Frost, Leigh Gialanella, Taylor Healy, Courtney Hobgood, Maxwell Ingrassia, Daniel Kraynak, Talia Levine, Jeremiah Lowe, Emily Malter, Meghan O’Sullivan, William (Buck) Reynolds, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Sirianna Santacrose, Marissa Soo, Mary Thede, Jose Vazquez, Natalie Warren, Casey Wright,  Zachary (Zack) Young and Alicja Zak.

Professor of Hispanic Studies Joana Sabadell-Nieto is the HCAYS director-in-residence for 2013-14.
