Assistant Professor of Theatre Emily K. Harrison and Assistant Professor of Instruction in Theatre Jess Buttery presented the World Premiere of Things We Will Miss, a new, devised work of theatre at the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Things We Will Miss, a personal meditation on the climate crisis, explores the beauty and inevitability of impermanence. Born from the debris of late-stage capitalism, the piece features performers in disparate roles, including an amateur astronomer, a park ranger, mythological prophet Cassandra, Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and ultimately, themselves.
Things We Will Miss was developed and produced by square product theatre and featured collaborations with Juliet Davidson '23, Leslie De La Rosa '25, Del Gonzales '25, Meraly Morales '25, and Irmak Sagir '24.
