Five Hamilton students attended the 249th American Chemical Society National Meeting and Exposition held in Denver from  March 21 to March 26. Attendees were seniors Esther Cleary, Liz DaBramo, and Jordan Graziadei along with sophomores Mia Kang and Rich Wenner. Students participated in a variety of seminars representing a large breadth of chemistry and networked with industry professionals and representatives of graduate programs.

Jordan Graziadei and Rich Wenner presented their poster titled “Calculation of the association trajectories of oseltamivir and sialic acid to wild type and H274Y viral neuraminidase” at the Division of Computers in Chemistry poster session. Other co-authors included Leah Krause ’14, Patrick Marris ’16 and Assistant Professor of Chemistry Adam Van Wynsberghe.

Mia Kang presented her poster titled “Investigation of different binding kinetics among the neuraminidase inhibitors” at both the Sci Mix and the Division of Computers in Chemistry poster session. Other co-authors included Dan Mermelstein ’14, Robert Clayton ’15 and Van Wynsberghe.
