The traditional Convocation ceremony that marks the beginning of the academic year at Hamilton College will be held this year on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 4 p.m. in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center.
The program will feature a keynote address by President Eugene M. Tobin, titled "The Aims of a Hamilton Education." The Convocation ceremony will also include an academic procession and the awarding of many student prizes and scholarships.
Classes at Hamilton begin on Monday, Aug. 28. Incoming members of the class of 2004 arrive for new student orientation on Tuesday, Aug. 22.
