Hamilton Basketball Head Coach Tom Murphy begins his two-week long basketball camps this week. The Hamilton camp is a day camp that goes from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and involves instruction, drills, and lecture for basketball players of all ages. Each week is split up by age groups according to player's school grade and/or age.
This week (August 3–9) Coach Murphy and his crew of qualified coaches will instruct 88 NBA hopefuls from grades 5-8 ready to become better basketball players. By taking the young stars through dribbling, shooting, and passing drills with continuous instruction, Coach Murphy looks to improve on their skills. Reinforced by afternoon lectures and instructional full court games the Hamilton basketball camp aims to create a complete all around ball player.
The following week (August 10–16) is reserved for the high school players. The estimated 90 camp participants will go through very much a similar program as the younger players this week do, just at an accelerated pace.
