Seven Hamilton College student-athletes were honored by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on March 19, when the organization released its 2013 Division III National Academic Squad.

The national academic squad recognizes individuals who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year. Hamilton's qualifiers are listed below.

Emma Anderson '17 (Greene, N.Y./Greene Central School)
Hannah Bacon '14 (Riverside, Conn./Greenwich Academy)
Casey Brown '16 (Lafayette, Colo./Portsmouth Abbey School [R.I.])
Aubrey Coon '16 (Taberg, N.Y./Camden Senior HS)
Katey Hopper '15 (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich HS)
Hannah Keohane '17 (Riverside, Conn./Greenwich Academy)
Samantha Sherman '15 (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan HS)


Hamilton also earned the NFHCA Division III collegiate national academic team award for the 11th consecutive year. The program recognizes those institutions that have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year.
