Two pictures from the collection of Jay Williams ’54, the Walcott-Bartlett Professor of Religion emeritus and lecturer in religious studies, are included in “Autopsy for a Nation: the Death of Abraham Lincoln” at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y. The exhibition to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s assassination opens April 1 and will run through Dec. 31.
In addition, Williams contributed five pictures for “Maxfield Parrish: The Art of Light and Illusion,” also at the Fenimore. The exhibition will feature the work of American artist Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966) and will be on display May 23-Sept. 7.
