Visiting Assistant Professor of Literature and Creative Writing Hoa Ngo is the recipient of a 2021 Artist Fellowship in Fiction awarded by the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA).
Ngo was selected from among more than 3,500 applicants to the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship Program, administered by the NYFA with leadership support from the New York State Council on the Arts.
This year, 92 fellowships were awarded to New York State artists working in the disciplines of fiction, folk/traditional arts, interdisciplinary work, painting, and video/film. According to the program website, the fellowship is a $7,000 unrestricted cash grant that is “not a project grant, but is intended to fund an artist’s vision or voice, at all levels of their artistic development.”
