Seven Hamilton College squash players competed at the 2014 Division III Individual Invitational at Bowdoin College's Lubin Family Squash Center on Feb. 8 and 9.

Results

On the women's side, Rachel Newman '16 lost in the second round of the A Division main draw. Newman defeated Chloe Mitchell 5-11, 11-8, 11-9, 11-8 in the second round consolation draw. Newman was outlasted in five games in the second round consolation semifinals.

In the women's first round consolation draw, Hilary Gray '15 swept teammate Hannah Coffin '14 in three games, 11-5, 11-4, 11-2. Gray later fell in five games in the consolation quarterfinals. Lillie Simourian '17 dropped a four-game match in the consolation draw.

Martin Bawden '14 lost in four games in the second round of the men's Division A main draw. Bawden then edged Matt Cooper in five games (10-12, 11-8, 12-14, 11-9, 11-4) in the second round consolation draw before he lost in four games in the semifinals.

Josh Wolpert '16 was swept in the quarterfinals of the Division B main draw but rallied for an 11-6, 11-8, 11-2 triumph against Bowdoin's William Winmill in the seventh-place match. Tucker Hamlin '17 lost a tough five-game match in the Division A consolation draw.

The Hamilton men compete in the 2014 College Squash Association Team Championships at Harvard University this weekend. The first match is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14.
