Assistant Professor of Theatre Emily K. Harrison was the director of ROLEPLAY, presented recently at Louisiana State University’s Swine Palace Theatre in Baton Rouge. The play revolves around several college students navigating the university system, sexual assault, party culture, and social pressures.
Originally developed by students at Tulane University in collaboration with professional artists, ROLEPLAY is transcribed directly from the improvisations of actual college students. The script was updated by Harrison and the cast in collaboration with one of the original writers, to make the production specific to LSU. Harrison is wrapping up a six-week stint as a guest artist in residence at LSU’s School of Theatre.
