Professor of Theatre Craig Latrell recently presented a paper at the International Convention of Asia Scholars (ICAS) in Leiden, Netherlands. “Regional, global, and modest: Current influences in Indonesian fashion design” was presented in a panel discussion on The Cultural Logic of Global Style. The paper is part of a project funded by a Dietrich Inchworm Grant.
According its website, ICAS is “the most inclusive international gathering in the field of Asian Studies.” The meeting attracted some 2,500 participants from more than 75 countries “to engage in global dialogues on Asia that transcend boundaries between academic disciplines and geographic areas.”
