Clyde Tuggle '84, president of The Coca-Cola Company's Russia, Ukraine and Belarus business unit, has been named head of productivity and corporate affairs at Coke's corporate headquarters in Atlanta, effective immediately. He will be recommended for election as a senior vice president at the company's October board meeting.

Tuggle, a 19-year Coke veteran, has held a variety of positions within the company, including two stints as executive assistant to the chairman and CEO.
According to a company news release, "In 2005 he was named president of the Russia, Ukraine and Belarus Business Unit.  During his tenure, the business system in these markets generated strong double-digit compound annual volume growth, even
stronger revenue and operating income growth and gained market share in
all categories across all markets.  During this time, the company has
strengthened its external presence and aligned with Coca-Cola Hellenic
around an aggressive long-range growth agenda."  

Tuggle has twice held the role of executive assistant to the chairman and
chief executive officer and from 1998-2000, he held operational roles in the company's Central European Division.  Tuggle began his career with Coca-Cola in Corporate Communications in 1989.  He holds a bachelor's degree in German and
economics from Hamilton College, a master's degree from Yale University
and has completed the executive program at the University of Virginia's
Darden Business School.
