The Hamilton College Performing Arts Classical Connections Series opens on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 8 p.m. in Wellin Hall with Boris Kucharsky, violin, accompanied by Steven Ryan, piano.
The program will feature works for violin and piano by Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms. The performance will conclude with Tango for Gabriela, written for Kucharsky by composer Robert Livingston Aldridge.
Of Russian, Slovakian and German descent, Boris Kucharsky was born in Dortmund, Germany, in 1971. Kucharsky began his violin studies at the age of seven. Since then, he has performed with orchestras and as a soloist throughout the U.S., Europe and Far East.
Award-winning pianist Steven Ryan has performed with several major orchestras in New York, including the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Minnesota.
