The Hamilton College Choir presents the home concert of their recently completed Spring Break Tour on Friday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m., in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center for Music and the Performing Arts.

The choir performed in seven cities from March 12 -18. Tour stops included Rochester, N.Y.; Ann Arbor, Mich.; Wilmette, Ill.; Chicago, Ill.; Cleveland, Ohio; and West St. Paul, Minn.

This year’s program will include sacred and secular music including Thompson’s “Alleluia,” Swider’s “Cantate Domino,” Macfarren’s “Orpheus with His Lute” and Washburn’s “Two Chinese Melodies.”

The 51-member choir is directed by G. Roberts Kolb, professor of music and director of choral music at Hamilton since 1981. The Hamilton College Choir boasts an uninterrupted tradition of fine choral singing that dates back for over a century. Each year the choir alternates performing in the Northeast, Midwest, South and Europe.
