Erin Lewis ’18 received one of five Undergraduate Poster Awards given by the Computers in Chemistry Division at the 253rd National Meeting of the American Chemistry Society (ACS). The meeting took place in San Francisco April 2 to 6.
Lewis’ poster, “Analysis of MM/GBSA free energy calculations to investigate the binding pathways of neuraminidase,” detailed her work as a summer research and independent study student in Associate Professor of Chemistry Adam Van Wynsberghe’s computational chemistry and biophysics research laboratory. Pat Marris ’16, Leah Krause ’14 and Van Wynsberghe were co-authors.
The poster was chosen for recognition out of about 60 undergraduate posters from all over the country. Lewis received a monetary award and a credit with Wiley Publishers, sponsor of the competition.
