Shannon Boley ’17 recently attended the Eastern International Region American Academy of Religion Conference, where she received a Student Paper Award for her paper, "Muslim Refugees and Christian Charities: A Case Study of Refugee Resettlement in Rome, Italy."
Boley’s work was based on a primary ethnographic research she conducted in Rome in July, 2016, through an Emerson Grant. Later, she wrote her senior thesis on the basis of this research. She was selected to present the paper through a competitive review system for undergraduate students.
Boley has also been accepted for a graduate/master's program at Harvard Divinity School, where she will enroll in the fall.
