Professor of philosophy and longtime golf coach Bob Simon, and the Bob Simon Golf Center named in his honor, are featured in the September, 2019, issue of Golf Range Magazine. Simon died on May 31, 2018.
The article “Honoring a Legacy,” discusses Simon’s lasting contributions as a beloved professor, coach, and authority on sports ethics. He was the author of Fair Play: Sports, Values and Society, and named one of the 100 Most Influential Sports Educators by the Institute of International Sport.
The new PGA-quality golf practice facility “has been a game-changer for our golf programs,” said men’s and women’s golf coach Lauren Cupp. “Now every time we practice and speak the Simon name, we will remember his legacy.”
