The Hamilton College baseball team has been doing volunteer work with the Boys and Girls Club of Utica during the fall semester.

Members of the team plan to visit the Boys and Girls Club approximately every two weeks while school is in session. The team helps about 30 children with homework in subjects that range from reading and writing to math. After the homework is finished, everyone moves to the gym for recreation time. The Hamilton baseball players participate in full-court basketball, and games such as catch and tag with the kids.

The Boys and Girls Club of the Mohawk Valley works to promote the social, educational, health, leadership and character development of boys and girls during critical periods of their growth. The Club’s goal is to establish a safe place where children can learn, grow and take part in life-enhancing programs.

Help us provide an accessible education, offer innovative resources and programs, and foster intellectual exploration.
