Hamilton College dropped two games to Trinity College in a non-conference doubleheader played in Auburndale, Fla., on March 22.

Trinity (5-3 overall) outslugged Hamilton in the opener 6-2, and beat the Continentals 23-0 in Game 2. Hamilton (3-7) is scheduled to play two non-conference games at SUNYIT on Wednesday, March 30.

In Game 1, Joe Buicko ‘11 went 2-for-4 with two runs and a run batted in. Sam Choate '12, Justin Atwood ‘11, and Michael Matt ‘11 chipped in one hit apiece. Kevin Prindle ’13 added one RBI. Alex Potoczak '13 and Joe Wagner ’14 each pitched one inning in relief of starter Colin Henneberger ‘14.

The Bantams scored four runs in the first two innings and one run in both the fourth and fifth inning to lead the game. The Continentals first run came in the fifth inning and scored their final run in the sixth inning for a final score of 6-2 Trinity.

In the second game, Prindle, Atwood and Matt each had one hit. Potoczak pitched 1.2 innings in relief of starter Alex Zeig ’14 and took the loss.

Trinity led 11-0 by the fourth inning and scored 12 runs in the fifth inning to lead 22-0. The Bantams earned one more run in the seventh inning to top Hamilton 23-0.
