Blakeman, a Jewish-American and Obeidallah, a Palestinian-American, will present a comedy show that brings people from all backgrounds together to laugh, and encourages a dialogue in support of a peaceful, political resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

  • Katheryn Doran, associate professor of philosophy, participated in a podcast with Randy Cohen, author of The New York Times Magazine Ethicist column (4/16/09). Each week in the podcast Cohen answers readers' questions on ethical issues. The podcasts are broadcast on The New York Times Web site, nyt.com.  Doran read this week's questions and was identified as a philosophy professor at Hamilton College.

  • The presidents of the 11 colleges comprising the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) voted at their regular meeting yesterday in Maine to integrate Hamilton fully into conference play effective with the 2011-12 academic year.

  • Twelve Hamilton students participated in the National Model United Nations Conference on April 5-9 in New York City. The conference hosted approximately 2,500 delegates from 29 countries and was sponsored by the National Collegiate Conference Association. Opening and closing ceremonies, as well as closing committee sessions, were held at UN headquarters.

  • Karibu: An Evening of East African Food, Art, & Entertainment will be hosted by Women's Studies 332: Tanzania Field Study on Thursday, April 16, from 5-8 p.m. in the Annex. The fundraiser will feature Adanfo African Ensemble from Ghana, dance performances, art auction, and East African inspired buffet.
