  • Fourteen Hamilton students in the New York City Program were among those fortunate to get tickets to the hottest show in New York on March 7. They went to see Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton,” a hip-hop musical about the rise and fall of Alexander Hamilton, the architect of our nation’s financial system, first Wall St. power broker, and of course, the College’s namesake. The show will complete its run at Public Theater on May 3 and then move to Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre in July.

  • Hamilton Program in New York City students had the opportunity to visit the vibrant studio of celebrated New York painter and sculptor Hunt Slonem.  The event featured a reception with alumni organized by Hamilton trustee Adrienne Ruger Conzelman ’92.

  • Students in the NYC Program braved wind chills and low temperatures to seek the warmth of the Metropolitan  Museum of Art and its rich collections of ancient and modern art from many parts of the world on Feb. 18.

  • Students in Hamilton’s program in NYC met with Michael Stone ’72, founder and CEO of Beanstalk, a global brand licensing corporation on Feb. 11 to learn about the brand licensing business.

  • Hamilton NYC students visited the Museum of Chinese Americans in Chinatown for a guided tour of its special exhibit titled “Waves of Identity: 35 Years of Archiving.” Alice Fung, an educator at MOCA, described Chinatown in the 1970s when the museum was founded and how it changed and grew over time.

  • Students in Hamilton's NYC program went to the United Nations on  Jan. 28 for a general tour. International relations concentrator Dimitru Kaigorodov ’16 contacted his former Hamilton professor Calin Trenkov-Wermuth ’00 who now works at the UN's Department of Peacekeeping Operations. Trenkov-Wermuth met the group and answered questions about his work there.

  • The Hamilton Program in NYC students took a train from Grand Central to Stamford, Conn., on Oct. 29 to meet with Robert Morris ’76, P’16,’17 managing partner of the private equity firm, Olympus Partners.

  • Students in the Hamilton Program in New York City continued a tradition with a recent visit to the Bowery Mission, where they spent the afternoon volunteering in the kitchen.

  • Hamilton Program in New York student Jeremy Mathurin ’16 experienced a unique day at his internship with the Brooklyn Nets. Every year, NBA teams organize a series of Media Day events, where organizations had the chance to market, brand and interview their respective rosters in anticipation of the upcoming regular season.
