His lecture, which was part of the Levitt Series, took place on Feb. 27 in the Taylor Science Center.

Upson Chair for Public Discourse and Professor of Geosciences Barbara Tewksbury gave the keynote address at the 32nd National Symposium and 1st International Geoscience Congress on Feb. 18. The event was in Tehran, Iran, and because Tewksbury was unable to be there, “University-Level Geoscience Education for the 21st Century,” was presented via video.

The structures were released on January 22 after the accompanying peer-reviewed article was accepted for publication in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.

Hamilton College Dean of Faculty Patrick Reynolds announced the promotion of two faculty members to the rank of professor. The promotions of Associate Professors of Geosciences David Bailey and Todd Rayne were approved by Hamilton’s Board of Trustees at its December meeting and will be effective Jan. 1, 2014.
