Members of the Hamilton community gathered on Dec. 4 for what is hoped will become an annual tradition – Lighting of Our Village – outside Sadove Student Center. The event focused on what light means to different people and different cultures.

Hamilton’s Late Nite and Figure Skating Club teamed up to sponsor HamSkate on a recent Friday night. The campus community was invited for a night of public skating with free skate rentals, hot cocoa, pizza and cookies

Tucked down the hill off Campus Road lies Rogers Estate: a large, two-story building with a sprawling field as a front yard and abundant trees and greenery as a view. Rogers is furnished with a full kitchen, library, living room, and television lounge – a housing option that differs in many ways from the standard dorm experience.

A large crowd gathered in the Events Barn on Nov. 9 for Multicultural Mayhem, a celebration of diversity through performances, fashion, and food. The event was organized by On the Move, a student organization that builds relationships between Utica’s refugee community and Hamilton College.

Six Hamilton students went to Clinton Middle School to help facilitate a Hanging with Hamilton open gym on Nov. 2. At the event, the Hamiton students played volleyball, basketball, and Castle on the Fence with about 20 middle school students.

After months of hard work, physics students launched their high altitude weather balloon, along with camera equipment to record the flight into the stratosphere and a parachute to bring it back down to Earth.
