  • The brothers of Chi Psi captured the Hamilton Association for Volunteering and Charity (HAVOC) Kickball Tournament crown on Sunday, April 2.

  • Clothing fashioned from newspapers, magazines and recyclable items was modeled on the runway at the 5th annual Sustainability Trashion Show.

  • After several last-minute changes of plan, an intrepid group of Hamilton Outing Club members spent the first week of spring break backpacking and winter camping in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The plan for the trip originally involved heading south in pursuit of sunshine and warmer weather but as the break drew closer, the forecast deteriorated. With several of inches of wet, slushy snow and shiver-inducing temperatures called for in the Smoky Mountains as far south as North Carolina, trip leader Samuel Bernstein ’17 made the call to head elsewhere.

  • Hamilton Mock Trial ended its 2016-17 competitive season at the Lancaster, Pa., Opening Round Championship Series (ORCS) competition on March 17 to 19. Hamilton was one of 24 teams at the competition, and only six teams advance to the national competition later this spring. Ultimately, Hamilton placed 7th, narrowly missing the opportunity to compete at the national level.

  • The Hamilton Microfinance Group (HMG) hosted its 4th Annual Valentine’s Date Auction on Feb. 9 and raised over $800. All proceeds from this fundraiser went toward giving small business loans to local entrepreneurs.

  • FebFest 2017 offered something for everyone... even snow. As a heavy snow blanketed the area on Sunday night many students took part in the Outing Club’s moonlight snowshoe through Root Glen to kick off the week's festivities.

  • Aidan Costello ’20 took home the title and Alternative Spring Break (ASB) got the proceeds in the annual FebFest Mr. Hamilton competition. ASB received $470 to use for upcoming week-long service trips to non-profit organizations.

  • On Feb. 3rd to 5th Hamilton Mock Trial competed in the Regional American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) tournament at Pennsylvania State University. This was the first of three AMTA elimination tournaments that aim to bring together the best teams from all around the country. Hamilton placed third out of 24 teams, earning it a spot to the next AMTA tournament, Opening Round Championship Series (ORCS) in Lancaster, Pa., March 17-19.

  • The Hamilton Outing Club headed to the Adirondacks on Feb. 5 to take advantage of the colder temperatures needed for ice climbing. The trip was led by Gaby Pilson ’17 and Assistant Director of Outdoor leadership Sarah Weis Jillings. Participants included seasoned climbers as well as some new to the sport.

  • A New York 6 (NY6) consortium faculty group has been planning a conference at Hamilton for April 7-9 that has become acutely relevant in recent days.
