Several Hamilton faculty and staff recently spent a week in Albuquerque, N.M., at the National Academic Advising Association’s (NACADA) Academic Advising Summer Institute.

Hamilton science faculty have been busy the past several weeks sharing their expertise with students much younger than college-age audiences. Elementary school children from Oneida, Clinton, and New Hartford have descended upon the Taylor Science Center for a morning of science exploration over the past four weeks as well as in March during Hamilton’s spring break.

Phillip L. Zweig ’68 recently wrote an article for the Wall Street Journal, titled “Where Does the Law Against Kickbacks Not Apply? Your Hospital.” Along with co-author Dr. Frederick Blum, Zweig explores the effects Amazon has on the shortages and high prices of drugs in hospitals.

Isabel O’Malley ’18, recipient of a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, will travel abroad to study the production and effects of therapeutic radio next year. Hamilton had four recipients in 2018.

Back in the science classrooms that they had frequented not that long ago, four alumnae returned to campus for a “What I Did with My Major in Neuroscience and Psychology” panel. Hosted by the Career Center in collaboration with the Psychology Department on April 9, the event attracted 40 interested students and was followed by a networking reception.
