Candice McCardle ’15 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Malaysia. A public policy major she studied abroad in Vietnam, South Africa, and Brazil through the School for International Training’s Honors Program in spring 2014.

Margaret “Meg” Alexander ’15 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Malaysia. A world politics and Hispanic studies major, she studied in Madrid through Hamilton’s Program in Spain in spring 2014.

Elizabeth “Edie” Wilson ’15 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Thailand. Wilson completed her Hamilton coursework as an anthropology major in December and will graduate in May. She is currently a research assistant at ICF International in Washington, D.C., evaluating the effectiveness of government grants related to education.

Caroline Rudd ’16 has been awarded a national Beinecke Scholarship. Each Beinecke scholar receives $4,000 immediately prior to entering graduate school and an additional $30,000 while attending graduate school. In the 2015 competition 85 students were nominated and 20 awards were given.

Kiana “Kiki” Sosa ’15 and Kayla Cody ’15, both Boston Posse Foundation scholars, have been awarded Hamilton’s prestigious Bristol Fellowship.

Danielle Gauthier ’15 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) to Germany. A German studies and English literature major at Hamilton, she studied abroad at Universität Tübingen, in Tübingen, Germany, in spring 2014.

Gretha Suarez ’15 has been awarded a Fulbright Research Grant to India. Through her project, Gender and Public Space: Politics of Women’s Safety in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, she will spend the 2015-16 academic year studying how urban infrastructure regulates women’s presence in Mumbai and Ahmedabad’s public spaces. These cities provide a platform to examine the conditions of women’s safety and rights to public space by comparing infrastructure that facilitates access.

Caroline Grunewald, a candidate for May graduation from Hamilton, has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) to Germany. A comparative literature major at Hamilton, she studied abroad at Universität Tübingen, in Tübingen, Germany in 2014 though Tufts Study Abroad Program.

Lisbeth “Liz” DaBramo and Erika Marte, both candidates for May graduation from Hamilton, will travel the world as Thomas J. Watson Fellows for 2015-16. DaBramo’s project is titled “Water Ways: An Exploration of Water Sustainability Strategies,” and Marte’s is “The Faces and Functions of Educational Volunteerism in the 21st Century.”

Melanie Miller, a candidate for May graduation from Hamilton, has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) to Turkey. A psychology major at Hamilton, she studied abroad in Durban, South Africa in 2014. According to the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs Hamilton was a top producer of U.S. Fulbright students in 2014-15.
