The fall F.I.L.M. (Forum on Image and Language in Motion) series continues on Sunday, Oct. 25, when animator Stacey Steers presents Night Hunter (2011) and other films. This and all F.I.L.M. screenings are scheduled on Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. in the Bradford Auditorium in the Kirner-Johnson Building. All events are free and open to the public.

The fall F.I.L.M. (Forum on Image and Language in Motion) series starts Sunday, Sept. 27, as the Alloy Orchestra provides live accompaniment for The Man with a Movie Camera (1929). All F.I.L.M. screenings are on Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. in the Bradford Auditorium in the Kirner-Johnson Building and are free and open to the public.

Rhodessa Jones, co-artistic director of the San Francisco performance company Cultural Odyssey and director of Cultural Odyssey’s Medea Project: Theater for Incarcerated Women and HIV Circle, will hold two free, public events as part of her residency at Hamilton, Sept. 15 - 18.

Paula Ortiz ’18 is taking a shot this summer at an endeavor many professional filmmakers never undertake, let alone rising undergraduate sophomores: crafting a documentary. Ortiz is pursuing this project, titled Textile Patterns and Social Structure: Recapturing the Artistic, Historic and Cultural Legacy of Otavalo, with funding from an Emerson Summer Collaborative Research Award and Visiting Professor of Art History Scott MacDonald as her advisor.

The Hamilton College F.I.L.M. (Forum on Image and Language in Motion) spring 2015 series concludes on May 3, at 2 p.m., when filmmaker James Benning presents his performance piece “Two Cabins.” The event takes place in Bradford Auditorium in the Kirner-Johnson Building, and is free and open to the public.

The Hamilton College F.I.L.M. (Forum on Image and Language in Motion) series continues on Sunday, April 19, with James Benning’s “California Trilogy,” a trio of environmentally aware feature films about California. The cine-marathon begins at 2 p.m. in Bradford Auditorium in the Kirner-Johnson Building. This and all F.I.L.M. events are free and open to the public.

The F.I.L.M. (Forum on Image and Language in Motion) series will present the Alloy Orchestra accompanying Alfred Hitchcock’s 1929 thriller Blackmail on Sunday, April 5, at 2 p.m., in the Kirner-Johnson Building’s Bradford Auditorium.

Filmmaker Gloria Greenfield will screen her documentary, Body and Soul: The State of the Jewish Nation, on Tuesday, March 31, at 7 p.m., in the Bradford Auditorium, Kirner-Johnson Building. It is free and open to the public and sponsored by the AHI Undergraduate Fellows.

The Hamilton College F.I.L.M. series will feature Magician: The Astonishing Life and Work of Orson Welles with an appearance by director Chuck Workman, on Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m., in KJ's Bradford Auditorium. This and all F.I.L.M. events are free and open to the public.

The spring F.I.L.M. (Forum on Image and Language in Motion) series opens on Sunday, March 1, with an interactive performance with media artist/explorer Jennifer Proctor. All F.I.L.M. screenings will take place at 2 p.m. in Bradford Auditorium, KJ, and are free and open to the public.
