What approaches are best situated to set students up for success from orientation to graduation? How can colleges and universities ensure that such programs have the most impact and are sustainable? These were among questions posed during U.S. News’ webinar “Building a Foundation for Student Well-Being and Success.” Dean of Students Terry Martinez joined this webinar’s panel of representatives from Georgia State and Ohio State Universities and Vector Solutions along with moderator Michael Morella, U.S. News Live managing editor, on Oct. 5.

Hamilton president David Wippman and Dean of Students Terry Martinez participated in a virtual campus forum with the campus community on Thursday, March 19, to discuss issues related to the College's move to remote instruction for the remainder of the semester.

The college’s decision to shift to online education after spring break necessitated a quick response to meet the needs of students who hadn’t planned to return home as well as those who couldn’t return home.

A chapter by Dean of Students Terry Martinez is included in Crisis, Compassion, and Resiliency in Student Affairs. Her chapter focuses on using a trauma-informed approach when dealing with students in crisis.

New for the spring 2018 semester, the College’s course catalogue features a class called THRIVE, an acronym for Thoughts, Health, Relationships, Impact, Vision, and Emotions.
