  • Cathie Black, president of Hearst Magazines, will deliver the Commencement address at Hamilton College on Sunday, May 24, at 10:30 a.m. in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. Hamilton will award degrees to 472 seniors.  Black will be awarded an honorary degree, along with John Adams, co-founder of the Natural Resources Defense Council; Colgate University President Rebecca Chopp; and Stuart Scott, a 1961 graduate of Hamilton and former chairman of its Board of Trustees.

Paulson Jr.'s remarks to Hamilton College's class of 2008 at its commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 25. Paulson gave the address at Hamilton's 196th commencement, in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House, where 442 students received bachelor's degrees.

  • Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack, a 1972 graduate of Hamilton College, will deliver the Commencement address at Hamilton on Sunday, May 20, at 10:30 a.m. In 1998 Vilsack became the first Democrat elected governor of Iowa in more than 30 years. Vilsack was recently featured in a TIME Magazine article that described his new plan to fight population drain in Iowa by luring immigrants to the state.
