  • Students participating in the Fall 2016 New York City Program recently visited Stephen Sadove '73 in Manhattan. Sadove, chairman of the Board of Trustees at Hamilton, is the former CEO of Saks Fifth Avenue. He began with a description of his career path then answered questions of interest for the students.

  • John McEnroe, the John and Anne Fischer Professor of Fine Arts, recently presented a paper at an international conference on Greek architecture in Athens, Greece.

  • It’s no secret that Hamilton students tend to keep busy, balancing extracurricular activities and academic work. Many have found a good way to let off some steam is through various manners of performing. Rehearsal rooms and performance spaces around campus are filled into the wee hours of the morning as students rehearse singing, dancing and other performances. In celebration of these talented student performers, we have compiled a brief round-up of the various performance arts groups on the Hill.

  • In an event called “The Future of Making” on Nov. 12, students were led by Educational Technologist Kyle Burnham ’15 and electronic artist Kathleen McDermott in discussing different ways in which humans can interact with their body, technology and environment. The event featured a student panel focused on the importance of “making and doing,” as well as a wearable technology workshop where participants could sew working technology into their clothing.
