Heather Saunders Estes K’74 majored in education and ceramics while she was a student at Kirkland and went on to receive her master of social work and master of public administration degrees from Syracuse University. She then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she became CEO of Planned Parenthood Northern California. Following her passion for poetry, she transitioned out of her role as CEO and began to write.
