Most students on campus remember Andrew Fletcher ’17 as a social butterfly, captain of the curling team and an easy-going guitarist of Terrapin Trio. Then there's his talent for chemistry that earned him a spot at the prestigious nuclear engineering doctoral program at the Colorado School of Mines.

Lillia McEnaney ’17, a double major in archaeology and religious studies, will attend New York University’s prestigious master’s program in museum studies in the fall. There, she will focus her research on museum anthropology and intellectual property issues in indigenous community museums.

The Hamilton College community bid farewell to the independence of the comparative literature department as it transforms into the literature and creative writing department: a fusion of comparative literature, English and creative writing. To commemorate comparative literature’s 40-year legacy of literature and social activism, five accomplished alumni related to the department spoke about what this academic discipline has meant for their lives and their activism, revealing that its rippling effects have in fact changed countless lives.

As an Appalachian old-time banjo and fiddler, Jake Blount ’17 has just finished recording an EP with fellow fiddler Tatiana Hargreaves that will be released in June. This summer he will work on a full-length album with his band, the Moose Whisperers; in the winter, he and his band plan to tour Scandinavia.

Since the end of last summer, a job has been waiting for Tyler Rehor ’17 after graduation: a coveted position as a pricing/market analyst in the product management and strategy team at Travelers Insurance.

Alex Wang ’17 will be the first Hamilton graduate to work for Carlisle & Company, a boutique management consulting company outside of Boston that focuses exclusively on the automobile industry.
