This class will teach you the basic punching, kicking, footwork, and body movement techniques of kickboxing while boosting your fitness. Participants will engage in station drills, shadowboxing, calisthenics, striking of a bag or pads, and partner work to build strength, coordination, and confidence. This is a non-contact class; no sparring (striking of others) is permitted or included. Participants are advised to bring their own boxing gloves (10 ounce minimum). A limited quantity will be available for participants without their own.

Join Yuria Celidwen, Ph.D., of Indigenous Nahua and Maya lineages from the cloud forests of Chiapas, Mexico, in a conversation about Indigenous forms of contemplation and the transcendent experience embodied in prosocial behavior (reverence, ethics, compassion, and a sense of awe, love, and sacredness).? Yuria is a researcher in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, leading studies on Earth-based contemplation and collective flourishing in Indigenous traditions of the world.

Reserve your bike! Cruise over the hump day of the week! Work with the basics of indoor cycling while building strength and endurance. We will review proper bike setup, correct form and posture, and learn the basic cycling moves. The class will be 30-40 minutes of cycling with additional pre and post-workout stretching. The total class time will be about 45 minutes. This class is open to everyone, especially those new to spinning. Please bring a water bottle and a hand towel. Instructor: Aileen Basile
