Team-Based Learning (TBL) to Promote Classroom Dialog

Please collect your lunch in the Hub and bring it to Dwight

Please RSVP here by noon on Friday, April 18

Team-Based Learning (TBL) is a thoughtfully constructed set of mutually-supporting pedagogical structures that can be used effectively in a wide range of disciplinary contexts. TBL has been demonstrated to improve both student enjoyment and learning, especially skills in applying course material and working collaboratively across disagreement. In TBL courses, we move most content delivery outside the classroom, reserving class time for collaborative activities that help students to deepen their understanding of core concepts. Permanent groups provide students with familiarity among collaborators and comfort for challenging conversations and difficult problems. Fun and engaging activities build team bonds, interdependence, and often friendships.

Upcoming lunch conversations:

May 8: Rachel White to discuss her FYC on Thriving in College
