Oakes will share insights from her process of writing two nature/environment books as well as contributing to other major media outlets. Content and activities will help students develop skills as creative communicators and brainstorm compelling ways of writing about scientific research. Students are encouraged to bring an idea or project that they’d interested in developing. Space is limited to 18 students- this is a 2-part workshop so students should plan to attend both days.
