Carly Martin
Carly received a B.A. in philosophy from Macalester College and a Ph.D. in German studies from Ohio State University. A strong proponent of holistic liberal arts education, Carly helps students explore the wide variety of experiences available to them at Hamilton. Before joining the ALEX Advising team, she served as an academic advisor in the Arts & Sciences honors program at Ohio State. In other previous roles, she taught college courses in German, served as a teaching consultant, and co-led a study abroad trip to Berlin. Carly lived and worked abroad for several years and especially encourages students to step out of their comfort zones and pursue cultural-immersion experiences.
