Every Tuesday at 6 PM, the Days-Massolo Multicultural Center transforms into a warm and welcoming space for Trans Tea Time, a weekly event dedicated to fostering community and support for transgender and nonbinary individuals. This gathering provides a safe and affirming environment where attendees can relax, share experiences, and connect with one another over a comforting selection of tea, cookies, and biscuits.
More than just a social hour, Trans Tea Time serves as a vital space for those seeking connection with both peers and the wider community. Whether attendees are looking for casual conversation, solidarity, or simply a place to unwind, the event encourages open dialogue and mutual support. Allies are welcome to participate in a respectful and affirming manner, helping to build bridges and strengthen understanding. This event is not exclusive to the trans community on campus either, but delivers a community where anyone wanting to expand their perspective on gender can engage authentically.
By offering this consistent and inclusive space, the DMC continues its commitment to uplifting and empowering transgender and nonbinary individuals. With each cup of tea poured and every conversation shared, Trans Tea Time stands as a reminder of the importance of safe spaces, community care, and the power of gathering together.
