Student Employment Office
Although we cannot guarantee employment, interested students are almost always able to find job opportunities on campus during their time at Hamilton, assuming they are flexible about where and when they’re willing to work.
Student Employment Policy for SPRING 2021:
Students may be employed at Hamilton for the spring 2021 semester provided campus requirements for physically distancing and safe interaction can be met, the position is essential to the department’s operation, and funding is approved. Students studying remotely and residing in the United States may be employed only if the position responsibilities can be performed virtually. Students studying remotely and residing in international locations may not be employed with the College due to U.S. government restrictions.
Student Employment Paperwork Procedures for Spring:
- Employment authorization forms will be accepted via email or supervisors can submit the Employment Authorization Spreadsheet in lieu of the Employment Authorization form. To expedite processing please email the form or spreadsheet to Anna Moskal (email@example.com).
- Employment forms for students working their first job will be completed electronically through Docusign. Students working for the first time can email Anna Moskal (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Anna will contact them upon receipt of the spreadsheet or employment authorization form.
- All paperwork can be completed and submitted electronically. Questions can be addressed either through email or by setting up an appointment (ZOOM or on-campus). To schedule an appointment please contact Anna (email@example.com)
- If necessary, the New York Wage Notice form will be sent from Human Resources.
Students can locate job opportunities and apply online using Handshake, the Career Center’s online job database. Student accounts have been preloaded and match your Hamilton log in credentials for easy, single sign-on.
Hiring supervisors should direct students interested in a job opportunity within their department to Handshake where students can apply online for job opportunities. Please submit your job posting directly to Student Employment to be posted in the system for students to apply.
