George Taliaferro’s journey with jazz started in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, continued on the Hill, and has led him to the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. A participant in Hamilton’s New York City Program this semester, Taliaferro ’15 builds upon his interests as an intern for the renowned organization. NYC Program Students Attend Amateur Night at the Apollo

Students in the Hamilton in New York City Program  recently attended an amateur night at the Apollo Theater. Amateur night at the Apollo is a quintessential talent competition that serves as a model for Star Search and American Idol. The comedian Capone, known as Gangsta of Comedy, hosted the show and kept the evening animated and energetic with the audience responding throughout the show to his hilarious jokes and teasing.  More ...

Rich Bernstein '80 Hosts Program in NYC Students

Students on Hamilton’s Program in NYC recently paid a visit to Richard Bernstein Advisors, an investment advising firm founded by alumnus Richard Bernstein ’80.  After working at Merrill Lynch as the chief investment strategist, Bernstein left Merrill in 2008 and started his own firm in 2009, in the midst of the Great Recession.  More ...
