Snow Day!
It starts as a wet, windy mess at midday Sunday, then it snows. Gets colder, turns to powder. Snows. And snows some more. Cell phones beep in unison at 6:20 a.m. today as the College announces that it will open late because of the travel hazard; shortly before 10, the delay is upgraded to a?full-scale closing, one of the few in Hamilton’s history. Physical Plant employees and plows struggle to clear Hamilton’s 12 miles of campus roads and walkways as well as 14 acres of parking lots. Nearly 24 hours and more than 20 inches after the storm began — part of a massive front stretching the length of the East Coast — the clouds roll away and the sun arrives. Let the games commence.
