Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Hamilton is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Duties for this part time non-benefited hourly position include but are not limited to assisting the head strength and conditioning coach with the following: program design that guides student- athletes through a regimen of exercises to optimize performance and decrease injury potential; assisting with the oversight of sport-specific conditioning programs, teaching proper weight lifting, speed, agility and conditioning techniques; encouraging and motivating student-athletes to train and perform to their utmost potential; scheduling athletic teams; supervising student-athlete workouts; player development.
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree (Physiology, Sport Science or related field is preferred). NSCA-CSCS Certification (or equivalent) is strongly preferred. Proficiency in the instruction assessment, evaluation and supervision of multiple weight lifting techniques, strong communication skills, and knowledge of use and maintenance of fitness equipment is preferred. The candidate must possess a positive mental attitude and the ability to effectively communicate and work well with student-athletes, parents, faculty, staff and the community.
