In addition to Reunion attendance, please consider another means of celebrating the 65th Reunion. Hamilton alumni are noted for their philanthropy. Once again, participation in the College’s Annual Fund by Class of ’49 members is critical to the College.
How will your gift and that of other Class of ’49 members help Hamilton College and its students? We understand that:
o Seventy percent (70%) will help attract the best possible students “without regard to their financial circumstances and minimize their debt upon graduation”
o Of note -- “Best Values in Private Colleges.” Of 50 listed private liberal arts colleges, Hamilton ranked #11. See article re quality and cost measures. “Kiplinger’s Personal Finance,” December 2013, Vol. 67, No. 12, pp.42-48
o Twenty percent (20%) will fund resources that will enable students to find a satisfying post-Hamilton path – work, service, further study – often by engaging our world-wide alumni network.
o Ten percent (10%) will provide special support to Hamilton’s nationally speaking-and-writing intensive curriculum, developing critical thinkers who communicate bold ideas persuasively.
Your Annual Fund gift provides a tangible way of celebrating our current connection to Hamilton and helping today’s students to have the best possible send-off from Hamilton College to the real world beyond. We invite you to join in this worthy effort.
