Wellin Museum Educator Marjorie Hurley presented two talks at the recent convening of the National Art Education Association in Minneapolis, Minn. The first talk, titled "Interactive Jamboree: Gallery-Friendly Making and Process-Based Activities That Work," focused on museum teaching methodologies developed in part at the Wellin Museum.

The second talk, "Getting to the Point Where Everyone Is Paid: Shaping Expectations for Museum Education Facilitators," highlighted the Wellin Museum's docent program, a paid opportunity that offers students teaching experience in a museum setting.

According to the NAEA website, arteducators.org: "Founded in 1947, the National Art Education Association is the leading professional membership organization exclusively for visual arts, design, and media arts education professionals."
