The Hamilton College rowing teams competed against Union College on Sunday. For the 18th consecutive year, the Continentals and Dutchwomen competed for the Gilman trophies with Hamilton winning four of the five races, including three trophies.
The women’s varsity 8, ranked fifth in the latest Division III coaches poll, took home the Gilman Plate after defeating Union 7:35 to 8:17 over the 2,000-meter course on the Mohawk River. Hamilton’s second varsity 8 captured the Gilman Goblet by winning 8:10 to 8:55. Hamilton also won the open 4 race, finishing in 9:48 with Union at 10:18.
Hamilton returns to action on Saturday, April 18, hosting St. Lawrence University on Rome’s Erie Canal.
